Description

Brew Group Motor Inner Gear Replacement for Jura, Kalerm, and Other Coffee Machines

My coffee machine, a Kalerm K95L, kept damaging this gear repeatedly. The manufacturer and local distributor weren’t helpful and didn’t provide the support I needed, so I decided to buy my first 3D printer, learn to design the part, and print it myself. This way, I could cut costs, fix the design flaw, and hopefully make it last longer—or at least extend the gear’s lifespan.

I’ve attached the latest version of my gear design. It’s been in daily use for a week now, running smoothly with no rattling or clicking noises and no visible tooth damage (so far).

I’m printing with a Bambu Lab X1 Carbon using PC filament. In Bambu Studio slicer, you may need to scale the gear up by 1–2%, depending on your printer, filament, and print settings. I recommend 100% infill and a 0.1 mm layer height.

I split the gear design into three parts for better print quality, easier printing, simple assembly, and an exact fit. This also makes it easy to adjust and maintain—if the gear fails, you only need to reprint that part and reuse the rest, saving filament and making it more environmentally friendly.

After printing the three parts, just assemble them, and you’re good to go.

This is my first design in Fusion 360, created completely from scratch for a real-world use case in the 3D printing world. I hope it helps someone out there.
