3 in 1 Desiccant Spool V2

You can use the container to dry your silica gel in the AMS-HT or AMS 2 Pro, or use it as a storage box to keep the filament dry in the AMS.

The container I designed also has air holes on the sides for optimal drying. The Bamboo spools fit perfectly here, as they are also perforated and thus do not obstruct the airflow.

The paddle-like chamber dividers ensure optimal mixing of the desiccant when rotated.

1. Use with the reusable bamboo spool

  • A perfect fit with the bamboo spool
    • You can use the container with or without the lid. Simply twist the two spool sections together, and the desiccant is securely sealed.
  • Please note: When twisting the two spool sections together, you need to slightly press the middle part of the two spool halves together so that the original bamboo closure can click into place.
  • 3 separate chambers for better drying of the desiccant
  • The recess fits directly onto the retaining tab of the bamboo spool.

2. Use as a standalone storage box

  • Simply take the spool and lid and store your desiccant or whatever you want inside.

3. Use as a sieve

  • Not entirely serious, but why not? Let your creativity run wild.

My printing and usage recommendations:

  • ASA or ABS
  • The Bamboo high-temperature spool for drying at high temperatures >70°C
  • The transparent Bamboo Spool for temperatures ≤70°C to monitor the color of the desiccant.
