Waterproof Container XL

A strong screw-top container that needs no supports and uses a replaceable O-ring seal.

I wanted a large container for when I'm out kayaking that I could keep all my essentials in. I have tested the container and with the O-ring, it is air tight while fully submerged. I haven't done any long term testing to see how long it remains air tight but for my purposes it will float and keep my valuables dry. Please note that without the O-ring, the container is only water resistant at best. It will survive the outdoors/rain but not full submersion without the O-ring. 

Components:

• Lid: (Recommended Layer Height: 0.16mm, 15% infill, No Supports)
• Container: (Recommended Layer Height: 0.12mm [For Best Pattern Results], 15% infill, No Supports)
• Accent Ring: (Recommended Layer Height: 0.16mm, 15%infill, Recommend Using Inner Brim)
•  85mm x 2mm Nitrile O-ring

• Size: XL (100mm Diameter X 175mm Tall)
• 825ml Internal Volume for Storage
• 68mm Diameter Opening
• 5mm Thick Walls (with Reinforced Corners on Base & Lid)

O-ring Comments:

The O-ring used in this design is unfortunately not sold yet through Bambu Lab's “Maker's Supply”, so I sourced one found on Amazon. The O-ring can be installed without tools, but takes a bit of patience. Additionally, I added geometry in multiple areas inside the O-ring housing (see image below) to help keep it in place mechanically so it can be replaced if needed.

Due to precise geometry of the O-ring and the size of the "topo" pattern, I would not recommend scaling the container. If you all like the design, I will gladly add additional sizes to this post.
