<h2>🪐 Insert pour Terraforming Mars: Ares Expedition</h2><h3>⚠️ Design original par @JTComm (Thingiverse – Thing:4900894)</h3>Ce modèle est une réédition du travail de JTComm, créateur original de cet insert pour Terraforming Mars: Ares Expedition. Tous les mérites reviennent à l’auteur — je ne fais ici que republier son design pour le partager sur MakerWorld.<h3>🧩 Présentation de l’insert</h3>Cet insert a été conçu pour la version Kickstarter du jeu, incluant :<ul><li>les plateaux double-couche,</li><li>les cartes promos,</li><li>et de la place pour du contenu futur.</li></ul>L’objectif du design : tout ranger proprement, sans couvercles, et permettre un stockage vertical sans que rien ne bouge.<h3>🃏 Rangement des cartes</h3>Le plateau principal pour les cartes Projet intègre :<ul><li>une rampe inclinée, inspirée de celle du Terraforming Mars Big Box,</li><li>permettant de piocher facilement en plaçant le bac verticalement sur la table,</li><li>tout en empêchant les cartes de glisser.</li></ul>Un second petit bac sert de cale afin que l’ensemble reste parfaitement compact — même lors d’un “upside-down shake test”.L’auteur a anticipé l’arrivée d’éventuelles extensions :<ul><li>le plateau principal pourra être allongé pour accueillir de nouvelles cartes,</li><li>tandis que la cale pourra être réduite en conséquence.</li></ul>Le bac dédié aux Corporations et aux cartes Phase propose également un espace libre pour accueillir de futurs contenus, par exemple un éventuel équivalent à Prelude.Toutes les cartes sont rangées dans leur propre compartiment, ce qui rend les séparateurs d’origine optionnels — même si l’auteur choisit de les conserver.<h3>🧱 Rangement du matériel</h3>Les autres bacs accueillent :<ul><li>cubes joueurs,</li><li>ressources,</li><li>tuiles Forêt,</li><li>Océans,</li><li>marqueurs de paramètres,</li><li>tuiles Phase,</li><li>aides de jeu.</li></ul>Les compartiments de ressources et de tuiles Forêt sont aussi pensés pour être directement posés sur la table pendant la partie.<h3>🛠️ Impression</h3><ul><li>Prévoir deux exemplaires du bac à ressources,</li><li>et un exemplaire de toutes les autres pièces.</li><li>Design testé avec des cartes sous sleeves Dragon Shield mattes, parmi les plus épaisses.</li><li>L’auteur imprime en buse 0,6 mm, en mode draft/coarse ; vos impressions seront probablement plus propres.</li></ul><h3>📝 Mentions légales</h3>Design original : @JTComm – Thingiverse (Thing 4900894). All credit goes to the author — I am only republishing their design here to share it on MakerWorld.<h3>🧩 About the insert</h3>This insert was designed for the Kickstarter version of the game, including:<ul><li>the dual-layer boards,</li><li>the promo cards,</li><li>and space for future content.</li></ul>The design's objective: to store everything neatly, without lids, and allow for vertical storage without anything shifting.<h3>🃏 Card storage</h3>The main tray for Project cards features:<ul><li>an inclined ramp, inspired by the one in Terraforming Mars Big Box,</li><li>allowing for easy drawing by placing the tray vertically on the table,</li><li>while preventing cards from sliding.</li></ul>A second small tray acts as a spacer so that the whole remains perfectly compact — even during an “upside-down shake test”.The author has anticipated the arrival of potential expansions:<ul><li>the main tray can be extended to accommodate new cards,</li><li>while the spacer can be reduced accordingly.</li></ul>The tray dedicated to Corporations and Phase cards also offers a free space to accommodate future content, for example, a potential equivalent to Prelude.All cards are stored in their own compartment, making the original dividers optional — even if the author chooses to keep them.<h3>🧱 Material storage</h3>The other trays accommodate:<ul><li>player cubes,</li><li>resources,</li><li>Forest tiles,</li><li>Oceans,</li><li>parameter markers,</li><li>Phase tiles,</li><li>player aids.</li></ul>The resource and Forest tile compartments are also designed to be placed directly on the table during gameplay.<h3>🛠️ Printing</h3><ul><li>Print two copies of the resource tray,</li><li>and one copy of all other parts.</li><li>Design tested with cards in Dragon Shield matte sleeves, among the thickest.</li><li>The author prints with a 0.6 mm nozzle, in draft/coarse mode; your prints will likely be cleaner.</li></ul><h3>📝 Legal notices</h3>Original design: @JTComm – Thingiverse (Thing 4900894). Terraforming Mars: Ares Expedition Insert / Organizer

Card tower, scaled to fit 90*65 standard sized cards. Useful to have it laying around your gaming space for when those big stacks like Terraforming Mars, Earth, Ark Nova etc. show up at your table. I print these and use them as card holders in my boxes; they usually fit laying down.
