To create a rattle box, I print the box in PLA and add the PLA “scraps” at 50% of the print.

Why 50%?

👉 At this stage, the base is formed, but the top is not yet closed.

👉 It's the perfect time to insert the pieces inside.

Then, printing resumes and seals the box hermetically.

New challenge for my son Sacha: create for him a fun and safe rattle box, using only recycled PLA scraps.

The idea? Transform the PLA “scraps” (small remains, failed prints, supports...) into a sensory toy that makes noise when shaken.

✅ 100% recycled materials

✅ PLA printed box, hermetically sealed

✅ Soft and varied sounds depending on the pieces used

✅ Adapted for small hands and babies' curiosity

A simple, durable, and meaningful creation — literally and figuratively 😄

And if Sacha could speak, he would surely say: “It makes noise... and I love it!”
