Aruba Instant On AP22 ceiling / wall mount

Description
Original description:
"Thin wall mount bracket for Aruba AP 22. Replaces the ugly, thick mount that comes with the unit.
Print the mount and center pin separately to prevent need of print supports, then glue them together. Check the position of the pin before applying glue, so the pin is on the correct side where the unit's hole is." (Note): The center pin does not need to be glued — it holds in place on its own and just needs to be pressed firmly into the model.)
"Center pin is optional, the mount hold well without it too."
I made a few modifications to the original model:
- I slightly beveled the locking tabs so the Aruba AP can be released and removed more easily.
- Since the Aruba APs were meant to replace existing TP-Link APs with a metal bracket mounted in holes with a 60 mm spacing, I added two holes with exactly this hole spacing.
The 60 mm hole spacing is also the standard European spacing for flush-mounted electrical boxes (for sockets and switches), in case someone wants to mount it onto such a box.
In the photos, the model is still without the hole spacing labels — I added those later.
The 3MF file contains three models:
- Original, with only the locking tabs beveled, height 4.75 mm.
- Beveled locking tabs and original height 4.75 mm.
- Beveled locking tabs and increased height 5.5 mm, which should provide enough space between the ceiling and the AP to route a standard UTP CAT5e cable, if you don’t use the included flat cable.
Unfortunately, I don’t have a photo of the AP bracket because I have since returned the AP.
