14cm PC cooling fans are basically the largest size option I have tried fans like Xuanmingpu and Thermalright All are priced under 30 yuan In fact air pressure is very important for purification efficiency but there is no need for overly expensive fans which would deviate from the original DIY intention This design focuses on minimalism low cost and enhanced sealing to improve effectiveness
1 The model is divided into two parts an upper fan bracket and power speed control box and a lower filter connector For convenience of printing it is divided into two parts Once both parts are printed use glue to connect them Hot melt glue along the edges provides better sealing and adhesion
2 Speed control module (Manual 4-wire PWM fan speed controller with switch DC12V case 4-wire fan speed control noise reduction with shutdown capability)
Fan (14cm Thermalright fan / Xuanmingpu) offers a high cost-performance ratio Thermalright fans perform slightly better
DC female connector (5.5*2.1dc-022b)
12V power supply
Zhen sponge sealing strip black EVA foam (1mm thick) The design has some allowance in size filling gaps with sealing foam helps with airtightness
