Description

2/7/24 UPDATE ----→

STL files added for

O Scale 216"x192"

O Scale 192"x144"

O Scale 192"x96"

O Scale 144"x120"

I've printed multiple of all of these sizes, flat on the plate, .4mm nozzle, .08mm layer, textured PEI Plate.

I reworked the file to make the model thinner, drum thinner, motor larger and added some extra details. I'm working on making the file fully parametric, but it's still a little quirky so I'll wait to add it.

ORIGINAL ------→

I modeled this 12' x 10' industrial rollup door for my HO Scale Model Railroad. The model is based on a prototype door found on the Cargill Corn Syrup Transfer Facility in Seattle, Washington.

I printed it in PLA on my Bambu Lab A1. I used the .4mm nozzle, .08mm layer, textured build plate. I'm uploading a sliced plate that includes HO, S, & O Scale models. I printed N Scale, but the details were lost.

Other Issues:As I'm building N scale, I cancelled several prints to verify the scaling. The actual print was successful and adorns one of my buildings

Clean design and precise profile settings. Zero issues during printing and great final quality. Very happy with the result – five stars.

You have some great models that I plan to incorporate in my buildings and scenery. Keep up the great work. Unfortunately, can not download some of your STL files on this site, and can only download the .3mf files, which constrain me to using your print parameters. The roof vents are an example. Maybe this is due to my being a newcomer to the site? I'll further investigate. Since I'm printing in 1:29 scale, I do not need the fine details and many layers necessary in HO or O scales. (your roof vents) I printed the rollup door in 0.20mm height, reduced the the top 15 layers by using the variable tool to minimize the height . This reduced the printing time significantly. Really appreciate you work and hope to see more and hopefully find to correspond directly, especially since I see that you are a former O Gauger. JE
