Lightest Gridfinity Base Ever - Customizable

TLDR

These use half the filament and print much faster compared to normal baseplates. A 4x4 in just 14 minutes of print time! Drop down the “Open in Bambu Studio” button and click “Download STL/CAD File” to download the pre-made sizes. Or use the “Customize” button to make your own. 0.8 nozzle recommended for ultra fast prints but 0.4 or any nozzle is great also.
 

What's Different?

I made this from scratch to make it parametric and ultra light. Here's why this prints faster and with less filament:

• Skeletonized the entire base so only walls are printed
• Overhangs between grids removed
• Bottom lip removed (Doesn't effect functionality)

• Small sliver of the top removed (Doesn't effect functionality)

   

Nozzles and Print Settings

0.8 nozzles are recommended since you can print these with just 1 wall, as the base is 0.8 thick. But any nozzle works. Every other setting not listed below is fine on default.

0.8 Nozzle: - 14min of model print time for a 4x4!

• Walls: 1
• Layer Height:
  • 0.32mm recommended - for speed and quality, 14 min for 4x4
  • 0.24mm for quality, 16 mins
  • 0.56mm it works but the quality isn't the best at 13.5mins, I'd stick with 0.32
• Wall Generator: Arachne

0.4 Nozzle:

• Walls: 3 
• Layer Height: 0.28mm recommended - Any lower doesn't make it print better, so just use 0.28 for the speed.
