Description

The USS Stargazer (NCC-2893) was a Federation Constellation-class starship operated by Starfleet during the 24th century.

This micro size USS Stargazer warp core stands ~8" tall and ~3" wide at the base.

Short build video is here: https://youtu.be/AzG3ldJAGLc

Build Tips:

  • Quickly hit the outside of the folding areas with a torch when forming the “cage” into the octagon shape

  • Use a D1-MINI ESP8266 with WLED installed, it should slip/fit snug into the base plate
  • LED strip should be a 5v ws2812b and no wider than 10mm
    • Pro tip: Fold your LED strip at one of the cut marks to make it double-sided

  • The WLED config and presets can be downloaded at the bottom of this page:

  • Use Odorless CA glue and activator for easy construction Bob Smith Super Gold+ works great

  • The front of the core has two metal handles as seen on TV. I've recreated these using 6mm wide 18awg staples found at my local hardware store. You should be able to find something similar or maybe bend a regular staple?
