Description

This is a Magsafe mount for the Audi A3 8Y.
My Audi A3 only has two USB-C ports in the center console storage compartment, but honestly, plugging and unplugging my phone every time was inconvenient, not to mention the cable was always there and in the way. So, taking inspiration from other projects, I wanted to create a Magsafe mount that would be suitable for the Audi A3 8Y.
The cable is hidden underneath, and it has two outputs on the back so you can decide which USB-C port to plug it into.
I don't have an original Magsafe and I don't want to waste money on one, so I got this one on Amazon: https://amzn.eu/d/2HidJF9, but any one will do, as long as it's 56mm in diameter and 6mm thick. The one in the link says Diameter: 55mm, but as I said, it's actually 56mm in diameter.
I also bought these angled adapters for the USB-C https://amzn.eu/d/gHlaVrt so that the connector isn't facing me, taking up space or getting in the way of my phone and other items in the compartment.
I printed it in ASA due to the high temperatures where I live in the summer, but if you live in cold climates, you could try PETG as a second choice and PLA as a last resort. So be careful about warping! It's only about 33 grams of filament, so you can try it and see how it behaves in the car.
I didn't do it because, honestly, it's hard to see and it looks like a factory part that came with the car, but if you're picky, you could cover the part with self-adhesive Alcantara for a sporty, elegant look, or find a thin rubber mat, like the original.
I hope you like it and find it useful!!

how did you hide the cable I brought the same charger as you going to post photos here when installed properly (I’ve mirrored it on the x-axsis as I’m in the uk and needed right hand drive version)

as soon as you exit with the cable from the MagSafe go to the side edge and follow the entire perimeter when only the right measurement remains, exit and connect it
