Lightning Train Custom Insert

A custom insert designed to neatly store all components of Lightning Train while keeping the box perfectly closed with no lid-lift. Every item has its place and setup becomes faster and smoother.

📦 What’s Inside

The insert includes 16 component trays for player pieces, chips, tokens, and markers:

• 8 large trays for player components — two per player:
  • The first tray, divided into four compartments holds the basic train chips, locomotive train chips, power chips, score marker, and station markers;
  • The second tray holds the company bag with the starting chips, the Go Public board, the Industrialized board, and the helper card;
• 1 medium tray (two compartments) for large station tokens and delivery tokens, including delivery/contract tokens;
• 1 medium tray for components used in solo and/or 2-player games;
• 1 small tray (three compartments) for small station tokens, the Lightning Train market token, and neutral station markers;
• 1 small ‘cup’ tray for market chips;
• 4 slim trays:
  • Three for goods tokens, loan chips, and money+ chips;
  • One for private company tokens (mini-expansion).

For card management, the insert includes 4 dedicated trays:

• 3 small trays for the action cards, the mogul cards, and the setup cards;
• 1 medium tray for the production cards.

🧩 Recommended Organization

For an optimal setup, arrange the eight large trays in four stacks of two trays each in the upper part of the box. Then, place the three card trays together in the lower part of the box, with the setup cards tray on top. Next, arrange all the medium trays—with the solo components tray at the bottom—alongside the slim trays (their combined depth matches that of a small tray), positioning the private company tokens tray at the bottom and the chips tray on top. Finally, add the small “cup” tray and the small tray on top to complete the layout.

📌 Important Notes

• Both the card trays for the action and mogul cards (63 × 88 mm) have a usable slot size of 67 × 92 × 16 mm, while the card tray for the setup cards (63 × 88 mm) has a usable slot size of 67 × 92 × 10 mm. Both support sleeves up to 60 microns (tested with PYN sleeves). There may be some vertical clearance in the trays, but storing the box vertically should cause no issues with the cards.
• The card tray for the production cards (70 × 120 mm) has a usable slot size of 74 × 124 × 10 mm and supports sleeves up to 60 microns (tested with PYN sleeves). The vertical clearance fits the cards exactly.

📦 Contenuto

L’inserto include 16 vassoi componenti per pezzi giocatore, chips, tokens e markers::

• 8 vassoi grandi per i componenti dei giocatori — due per giocatore::
  • Il primo vassoio, diviso in quattro scomparti, contiene i basic train chip, I locomotive train chip, i power chip, lo score marker, e gli station marker;
  • Il secondo vassoio contiene la company bag con gli starting chip, la Go Public board, la Industrialized board e la helper card;
• 1 vassoio medio (due scomparti) per i large station token, i delivery tokens, inclusi I delivery/contract tokens.

Per la gestione delle carte, l’inserto include 4 vassoi dedicati:

• 3 vassoi piccoli per le action card, le mogul cards e le setup card;
• 1 vassoio medio per le production card.

🧩 Organizzazione Consigliata

Per una configurazione ottimale, disponi gli otto vassoi grandi in quattro colonne di due vassoi ciascuna nella parte superiore della scatola.

Poi, posiziona insieme i tre vassoi per le carte nella parte inferiore della scatola, con il vassoio delle setup card in cima. Successivamente, sistema tutti i vassoi medi — con il vassoio dei componenti per il solo in basso — accanto ai vassoi slim (la loro profondità combinata corrisponde a quella di un vassoio piccolo), posizionando il vassoio dei private company token in basso e quello delle chip in cima. Infine, aggiungi il piccolo vassoio a ‘cup’ e il vassoio piccolo in cima per completare la disposizione.

📌 Note Importanti

• I vassoi per le carte action e mogul (63 × 88 mm) hanno uno scomparto utilizzabile di 67 × 92 × 16 mm, mentre il vassoio per le carte setup (63 × 88 mm) ha uno scomparto utilizzabile di 67 × 92 × 10 mm. Entrambi supportano le bustine fino a 60 micron (testato con bustine PYN). Potrebbe esserci un po’ di spazio verticale nei vassoi, ma anche conservando la scatola in verticale non dovrebbero esserci problemi con le carte.
• Il vassoio per le carte production (70 × 120 mm) ha uno scomparto utilizzabile di 74 × 124 × 10 mm e supporta bustine fino a 60 micron (testato con bustine PYN). Lo spazio verticale è esatto per le carte.
