This is a hanging build plate holder for the P1S. This holds 5 build plates. It is made to hang from the left or right side of AMS Glass Slider Riser V5 by the wonderful creator Sanja 3D

I did add tree supports to this when i printed. Not sure they are 100% needed, but i am new to 3D printing and wanted to be safe.

Also the brim is on and seemed to help keep this upright and stuck to the plate

P1S Hanging Build Plate Holder for AMS Riser/Slider V5 L/R

Great design. Profile prints beautifully. Trees and brim came off easy. Works as intended. I did move the holder a little bit on the print plate. Out of the box the slicer wanted to do 3 support trees. After moving, it re-sliced with 2 trees. Did the print on a P1S Combo, BBL Smooth PEI using Sunlu PLA+2.0 ran out and finished with BBL PLA Basic. 🙄 If the designer is ever tweaking, there’s something with the angle of the hooks, as the whole holder is hanging a little bit out from the printer and the bottom hooks is floating in air (last pic). Also an idea - my build plates are allowed to touch each other. If the holder was not made with individual spaces, but open, then the holder could hold twice the plates easily, or a 5 plate holder would be way more slim. Oh! And my OCD would love 4 triangle cutouts instead of 2. 😆 Anyway, thanks for a great print. 😊👍

The part about the triangles made me laugh for sure! A friend said the same thing. I have placed some sticky foam strips on the bottom tabs and the back of the holder to keep "shaking" noise down. I think most others would want the slots to keep the plate edges from scratching up the textured plates, but i could be wrong...Thanks for the post and feedback. Always welcome that kid of stuff! Enjoy.

it slides along the rail and comes off easily when putting in or removing build plates, how about modifying it lock to the rails?

I personally have never had that issue. First to hear of it to be honest. Few hundred people use this and no issues like that. Maybe try some rubber pads on the back to see if it helps with the sliding? I have some sticky foam strips on mine. Helps with noise, maybe will help from moving around on ya.

For V6 it is a bit too big and does not hang on the AMS riser

needs magnets or something to hold it to the side of the printer. I used some tape. otherwise it rattles during printing

A couple of small felt pads works perfect. Even some electrical tape would work in a pinch. Never heard mine "rattle" , but it always has multiple plates in it so its heavy.

Good plate holder. Since it's oriented at 45 degrees, you should set the infill direction to 0 degrees so that it aligns with the walls properly. very good!
