Attention:
This model contains moving parts and relies on tight tolerances. It is strongly recommended to print using a relatively new or well-maintained nozzle. Worn or heavily used nozzles may result in inaccurate prints, which can cause parts to fuse together or fail to meet the required tolerances. This may prevent components from moving correctly or cause them to become stuck.

BAMBULAB Filament is highly recommended! Other brands like Elegoo give very bad results in tolerances (which causes fitting issues!)

Love it! is it possible to add a little stand to display the dice on one of it’s corners?

Hello 2222pzzls. The cube is really good! Thanks for sharing. I have revised two parts, and now the slider locks in the middle position. This makes solving the puzzle even more challenging. I wanted to send you the print files, but I don't have the right to send you a private message. If you are interested in them, please contact me

thank you for your kind words! What exactly did you change to the slider? only the round extrusion, so it falls in the hole? Is it still movable then? since I guess you need to press the slider in now?

Yes, I curved the slider so it acts like a spring and pushes the new 1mm extrusion into the hole I made the indentation on the cube side with the 5 1mm shallower so the new extrusion doesn't stand out The slider now consists of 2 parts, the spring must be printed vertically Unfortunately, I cannot provide you with the STL or Fusion file this way I have attached an image from Fusion I would be happy to send you the STL or Fusion file I find your puzzles excellent

I see! clever 👍 I can design (alter) the parts myself based on your description. First I’m working on another few puzzles. but then I will look into changing this base design. Thanks for sharing 🙏

@2222pzzls Absolutely fantastic! Brilliant! But it's true that side 5 doesn't stop at the center...

Thank you very much! What do you mean by 5 stop at the center? The slider should go to “the center” but there is an extra step with the whole panel. It need to slide up a bit before the middle dot can slide

another very clever design. well done, easy to print. didnt have too much issue with supports. just printed the false dot face up with supports to have the same finish. result is very very nice keep going your good work

You are recommend to use a dark, opaque filament for the shell, as it otherwise gives an important clue out. Adored the concept. The slider is however slightly too lose and you can unintentionally solve it if the die orientation happens to be correct.

This is an excellent setup. I enlarged it for my project need by 200% (tangelo in pic for scale lol). Only issues I had were my own. My printer had issue with excessive vibration due to its location/base. So it skewed things a bit. Also in case it might help someone else, I found that if you angled the sides at same 150 degrees it added very little supports and printed faster as a result. Naturally it depends on your printer, settings, etc. One thing of note is if you do that make sure the guide rails run vertical (build plate up) instead of side to side (horizontal). Had a side warp doing it side to side when angled. Again this is a great file and design!

Normal Dice (No Woodgrain Pattern)
Looks and works great. I just needed to make sure all the supports were fully removed, even the tiny pieces like the small squiggle that connects them. Once everything was removed it worked perfectly. I might suggest numbering the matching sides or designing it so only the correct sides can fit, since a few were very close and almost got stuck at one point. Either way, I still love it and feel it absolutely deserves five stars

Thank you so much for this! I didn't understand what I was doing wrong and it was the squiggles!

Note: My English is poor. To 2222 Puzzles: This puzzle is fantastic and fun. I scaled the slider down to 94% because I needed to print it small. Also, I split the body to reduce support. If you don't mind, could you make an improved version of this puzzle? I'm thinking of one with just under 20 moves and all six sides moving (see photo; this should be possible without changing the outer structure or the direction of the grooves).

note back: Your English is fine (and im Dutch, so mine is not well either lol) Thank you so much for your input! I will definitely place this on my backlog for a possible sequal: DICE 2. 🙏
