Description
PALAGO (Tile Placement Game) - Bookcase Edition
Palago is a two-player strategy game from 2008 with a simple aim: Complete a closed area (creature) of any shape, in your colour.
Two players, Yellow and Blue, share a common pool of 48 identical hexagonal tiles. Each tile contains a yellow straight & tip and a blue straight & tip, and may be oriented in three ways.
The game starts by placing two adjacent tiles, then players then take turns adding two adjacent tiles such that edge colours match neighbouring tiles.
The game is won by the player who forms a surrounded island of their colour containing at least one straight.
PALAGO Interloking Tile System
The Palago tiles have been specially designed to interlock and can be only positioned in the correct layout to match colors (yellow to yellow, blue to blue).
The Palago Interlocking Tile slicing process in Bambu Studio has a defined Precision with an X-Y Contour Compensation of 0.25mm for a snug fit. While not necessary, this compensation can be adjusted to fine tune the tile locking fit.
BOOKCASE EDITION Box and Insert.
The Palago Tile Placement Game includes a Bookcase Edition box with a slide top. This bookcase edition box can be stored on a shelf with your other matching bookcase edition games.
The box has a convenient insert to securely store all of the interlocking tiles.
INFORMATION
All parts were printed with PLA filament, matt or flat colored filaments work best on board games. I use a textured plate for adhesion. Some parts will need to be superglued, for example, the book spine is glued to the square cornered side of the bookcase box.
IMPORTANT NOTE: I've turned off the prime tower in order to upload the model but turning it on (if it will fit on your plate) will help the quality of your prints.
