This Apple Watch charging stand is the result of an obsessive design process aimed at solving a simple problem elegantly: how can I dock my Apple Watch with minimal effort—whether I’m at my desk, bedside, or workbench?
🧩 Key Features
- No Supports Required – Designed from the ground up for clean, efficient printing including a carefully tuned print profile for optimal surface finish.
- Clean & Purposeful Geometry – Continuous surfaces and soft transitions echo the design language of the Apple Watch.
- Universal Fit – Compatible with Apple Watch Series 4 through 9, SE (Ultra models not tested).
- Quick Assembly – Just press-fit your OEM Apple Watch charger puck and thread the cable—no tools or adhesives needed.
🧪 Designed Through Iteration
This wasn’t a one-and-done print. I went through 9 prototypes—each one tested for:
- Strap compatibility (loops, clasps, Ultras)
- Cable path tolerances
- Charging puck fit and friction
- Easy removal of puck for traveling facilitated by the inclusion of finger hole
Ergonomic angle for Nightstand Mode (~30°)
This final version reflects dozens of tweaks and refinements. Every curve, chamfer, and radius serves a function while remaining aesthetically coherent.
