Description

Turn old brake discs into functional weight plates with this custom-designed 3D-printed adapter, which securely fits onto barbells with a 28.5 mm diameter and allows you to repurpose used automotive brake discs as gym weights.

Versions: (select the appropriate build plate)

  • 66.5 mm inner diameter – fits discs with 66.5 mm center bores (common in many European cars).
  • 64.7 mm inner diameter – fits discs with 64.7 mm center bores (common in Japanese and some other vehicles).
  • 59.5 mm inner diameter – fits discs with 59.5 mm center bores (common in many small and compact cars)
  • I can create a custom size if you DM me and leave a boost ;)

The thickness of the hub doesn't matter too much. there is plenty of space on the thread to accommodate any reasonably sized rotor (probably not for train wheels).

Assembly & Use:

  1. Clean the used brake discs thoroughly to remove rust, oil, dirt and brake dust. Maybe spray them with some paint.
  2. Put the adapter into the disc’s center bore.
  3. Screw down the nut tightly.
  4. Slide the disc with adapter onto your 28.5 mm barbell.
  5. Gains.

Kindly help me, if I was able to help you ;D

I've printed them out of Standard PLA and they seem more than strong enough if you don't throw them around like some retard, but PETG and ABS/ASA are probably good choices too. However, as with anything in life; you are responsible for you own actions.
