Description
A case for an iPhone 15 designed to be printed with PLA. The case weighs 14g and took me 22 minutes to print.
Printed with 0.1mm layers on my P1P without using any supports and solid walls. The USB C cutout might benefit from supports depending on your printer and your desire for finish quality.
I printed it on a smooth PEI plate with a carbon fiber look.
Design goals:
- printable with PLA: other filaments usually don't have the same finish quality as PLA and therefore look kind of cheap. Therefore I wanted a model that works with PLA so that it looks as good as a bought case.
- protect the screen: another pretty good model unfortunately is flush with the screen and therefore doesn't protect the screen
- last longer than 1 month: other models I've found stretch over time and need a new print after one month. (it's not designed to easily take out your phone)
- Cutout for MagSafe: I have a MagSafe wallet that still needs to work with the case. (There's also a version without the cutout)
Update: It's been 4 months and I'm still using it. That's definitely much more durable than any other model I've found.
