Hey there! :)
I wanted to design a hairpin in this style for the longest time, but every time it felt like I wasn't doing it justice. Finally, here it is!
Vintage Persian floral design (also known as Islamic arabesque or Eslimi) is a super interesting but underrated design style. If you ask me, it is the equivalent of Victorian style but with Middle Eastern and North African origins.Â
It's visually rich with heavy inspiration from nature and intricate geometrical patterns. I grew up basically seeing it everywhere, including architecture, furniture, clothing, and carpets! Here is an example:

In the Persian influence of this design, the centerpiece is usually a majestic and otherworldly flower. It doesn't represent a specific plant, but it has elements of the most beloved flowers of the era, such as tulips and roses. It symbolizes magnificence and life, since everything initiates with it.
That's the element I tried to recreate in this hairpin. Lemme know if you want a skull-free version! :D
To print perfectly:
- Print with 0.16 layers.
- Activate the âouter brimsâ and supports.
- Since the design has many delicate parts, print with 15% infill or higher to ensure its strength.
I hope you enjoy it, and happy printing! :)đĽ
