Minecraft Enderman 13cm articulated
Print Profile(1)

Description
Hello Minecraft Fans,
My kids are Minecraft fans, and I wanted to print some characters for them. You can find my print profile with a cool textured Creeper here:
In this print profile, I remixed a cool Minecraft Enderman figure to suit my needs
First, I went looking and found an appealing model by Rott3D on Printables. Of course, I linked the original accordingly
I first printed the original with my PLA Basic Bambu filament and noticed that nothing really fit together properly and the tolerances were far too large. The head, neck, and arms kept falling off. The neck was too thin; it couldn't hold in the body on one side and not in the head on the other
I particularly wanted to avoid glue in these areas, as it would compromise articulation. But if it just falls apart, the children can't play with it either
The arms also didn't snap into place and just fell off or swung loosely at the sides without any stiffness
I have now corrected these errors by creating completely new connectors with the appropriate size; this even worked relatively well in Bambu Studio using the 'Add Primitive' function. The arm connectors now have the same diameter as the holes in the upper arm, thanks to a generic cylinder. I also re-scaled the neck and adjusted it more closely to the holes in the body and head. The head and arms are now freely and stiffly movable and hold so well that nothing falls off or slips even when playing overhead
(Should you receive a message after slicing: Unable to perform boolean operation on model meshes…. - simply ignore it. The print will run perfectly. The warning appears because of the additional generic objects)
When assembling, note the intentionally tight tolerances, which ensure maximum strength in the joints. (I used PLA Basic from Bambu Lab – other manufacturers may have different tolerances)
The hip also slid quite loosely into the upper body; however, a subsequent correction or size adjustment would not be practical here, as that would also alter the attachment points for the legs, and these fit wonderfully as is. Since no movement is possible at this point anyway, you must apply a drop of superglue to the front and back of the hip and then insert it into the upper body
The hip and legs thus remain movable with maximum stability
I also mirrored the arms and legs to create a symmetrical appearance for left and right. I found no difference between the left and right files in the original. Therefore, pay attention to left and right during assembly and follow the upcoming instructions and photos for mounting
The Enderman can move all joints firmly, turn its head, bend down, sit, "walk", and also stand freely
When assembled, it is approximately 13cm tall
All components of the Enderman are printable; no external hardware (except superglue) is needed. Simply print, assemble, play
The orientation of the individual objects is designed to minimize supports and print time. My assembly experience is based on this orientation, and I recommend maintaining it
Please remember that you must carefully remove all small tree supports after printing
Stecken und kleben Sie zuerst die Hüfte in den Oberkörper. 1 Tropfen vorne und hinten sollte reichen.

Then take the neck and push it with the short (!) side into the upper body; it can be helpful to loosely secure the neck, then turn the body over and press the neck against the table surface. The neck will then noticeably click into place.

Now take the legs and loosely place them onto the hip's attachment pins with slight twisting motions. Pay attention to left and right. A few gentle taps with a small hammer work very well and have proven effective for me, reducing breakage.
Be patient, take your time. I warn you from experience – otherwise, it will break if you are too forceful. But the tolerances are intentionally tight to ensure the joints are nice and firm.

Then the arms follow the same principle; again, pay attention to left and right. Special caution is also required here. Use the advice from the previous step.

And finally, the head. Here, it might again be helpful to turn the figure upside down and use the table surface as a pressure point.

I printed on a P1S with Bambu Lab original filament PLA Basic black for the body, PLA Basic Magenta for the pupils, and PLA Matte Sakura pink for the eyeballs, and printed on the Cool Plate SuperTrack
