This model is a parametric lid generator designed to fit a wide variety of containers: cans, jars, tins for pet food, soft drinks, beer, vegetables, and much more.

 

To generate the lid that best suits your needs, simply input the following parameters:

  • Lid diameter: corresponds to the outer diameter of your container.
  • Locking rim width: defines the radial width (e.g. 2 mm) inside the lid where the protruding edge of the can or jar fits in to ensure a secure grip.
  • Lid thickness (New parameter): corresponds to the thickness of the top part of the lid. Warning: The value must be negative (e.g., -2 mm)
  • Snap-fit rim height (New parameter): corresponds to the height of the interlocking rim. Warning: The value must be negative (e.g., -3 mm)
  • Tolerance (optional): an additional margin added to the diameter to help with fitting, especially when exact measurements are not available or if your printer has slight dimensional deviations.

Easy to use:

The lid can be printed with or without a pull tab.
