Description

This is a simple and slim fitting custom case for the Samsung Galaxy Fold 5 to protect the phone from scratches/scuffs. It fits tight but like most fold cases, it does benefit from a small piece of double sided tape on the front screen portion of the case to hold it down.

I also wanted to mention that I've got a lot of other models posted here on MakerWorld. I'd be honoured if you'd check them out and let me know what you think! https://makerworld.com/en/@nweishar

Ten out of ten. I won't say it came out perfectly on the first try, but I saw its potential. With the 0.4 nozzle it wasn't bad, but with the 0.2 and some other adjustments it turned out great, although I went from a little over 1 hour to more than 5, it was worth it. I also increased the width by half a millimeter, so that the edges would get closer when closed. As a plus, I added a motivational phrase and used the carbon fiber effect bed. Many thanks to the creator! PS: if anyone finds any other design for Z Fold 5, let me know!

No problem, it's actually the case I use on my Fold 5, although it's made with a carbon fiber effect base for a more refined aesthetic.

printed in transparent pink pla as a test on an frankender 3 pro. Fits perfectly fine. Front one needs a bit of double-sided tape on the left side as most cases, but it's fine. Only problem is that the 3 directional mic holes at the top gets blocked and sound quality suffers a lot on video recordings. Also the back cover can use a bit of an indent on the button section, it kind of digs in a bit on your finger since it's very thin. Otherwise, perfect fit and easy to print model, lips that grab on to the phone are spot on. Edit: I printed using the step files, custom slicer settings and what not. Also removed a bunch of extra hexagonal parts present in the back cover which seems like they are left in by mistake?

Printed well, this is just in PLA. Left printed is Polynaker Polylite Starlite Neptune, photo on right is over the counter case that cracked in lower front cover corner as per pic. My Fold 5 (black) included in the pic of new printed case to confirm it all fits well.

Not very practical, needs double sided tape to stay in place

most of the cases need double sided tap to stay in. infact the creator even says that in the description.

He doesn't mention it's necessary, he just states it would benefit double sided tape

Just imported the step file to Orca - what is the hex pattern embedded inside it?

Oh thats some remnants of different designs I was playing with. Ultimately it gets pretty flimsy if you cut those out
