Holographic Card with Halo LED

This model depicts a futuristic card or artifact with a design inspired by holographic technology. It is intended to incorporate lateral LED illumination that enhances the central engravings, creating a hologram-like visual effect. It is ideal as a decorative keychain, prop, or cosplay accessory.

The lighting system utilizes 3mm blue LEDs connected in parallel, powered by 4 LR621 batteries in series, which provides adequate voltage for intense illumination. Power is controlled by a 3-pin mini switch integrated into the design. With this system, the device allows for approximately 300 continuous 30-second activations before battery replacement is required.

To achieve the luminous projection effect, a 2mm thick acrylic sheet is placed in the center. If colored vinyl (e.g., translucent blue) is added, the acrylic might not fit easily. In that case, simply sand the interior of the recess gently. If only transparent acrylic is used, there typically will be no issues.

The complete structure requires printing the same model twice, as both sides are identical. They are then assembled to form the final casing. The design includes a side hole for attaching a metal chain, allowing its use as a keychain or decorative pendant.
