Update 2.0: All parts have been adjusted and now go into the cardboard ring more easily, but still hold securely :)

Print in PLA+ or PETG recommended.
If there are bed adhesion problems with the thread adapter, simply add an inner brim. (Thread adapter with brim print profile available above)

But it should also work without.

Print without support

Must be pressed into the cardboard spool with some force. This way it won't fall out again :)

Compatible with cardboard spools with an inner dimension of 82-83mm (Sunlu/Bambu Lab). Just measure, it will certainly fit other manufacturers as well :)

Update: Model “O Ring Adapter” for connecting multiple cardboard rings.

Update: Model "Stacking Adapter" can be glued to the base as shown in the pictures. This allows for more stable stacking of the cans.

Cover the spools beforehand with gift paper! A great packaging to re-gift small items

Could you create some o-ring adapter to connect a few tubes among themselves? Then you can assemble modular boxes with 1u/2u etc. height ))

Yep, perhaps with a lower height

I have added the model The height is slightly lower If it were even flatter the cardboard rings would no longer hold properly The crease in the middle is intended to make pressing it in easier Both cardboard rings have an end stop :)

To connect several cardboard rings
I love re-purposing items and this gives a new life to those thick cardboard spools. thank you for tweaking them to fit easier, but still have them tight. the first version took some WORK to put together.

Quick print. It fits perfectly into the carton of my Sunlu spools. You have to push a bit hard, but that guarantees it won't move afterwards. Very clever, and what's more, I should be able to make larger boxes as needed thanks to the rings. You can never have too many small boxes. I approve. Thank you

perfect. If you chamfer the inner edges slightly, assembly is easier, although I still needed a rubber mallet 😀

You need super human strength to get them squeezed in, but they are tight and solid after. I used Sunlu PETG High Speed.
