Riese & Müller Load turn signals
Print Profile(3)

Description
I made some turn signals for my cargo bike.
You will need to print all the parts
- The two front signals mounts
- The two back signals mounts
- The switch holder
Material needed
- Soldering iron
- A blinker module like this
- 4 Led panel like those
- A waterproof 3-way rocker switch like this (standard 25.5x10.3mm)
- Some good electric cable, I used 3 core 24AWG with a total max diameter of 4mm.
- Some M3 screws, nuts and washers. You will need to drill a few tiny 3mm holes in the walls, but they're very discreet and easy to drill through. I'm very cautious of my bike and was fine doing so.
Mine connects directly to the battery, as I have no ABS nor GPS, so there's the 12V output available.
Get in touch with your local bike shop, mine did the installation of the cable + cable price for a total of… 10€ 😁
Connection diagram
The 12V input goes directly under the cargo bike where I made a tiny prototype board for it which I put in a waterproof 3d PETG enclosure I found here.
Then it goes through the turn signal module and directly to the middle pin of the switch on the handle.
Then each signals goes to the right or left blinkers, before returning through the third wire (ground) and back to the ground pin of the motor connector.
The switch installs on the brake mount. Unscrew the left brake, insert the 3d printed mount and thread the original screw through all.
Don't hesitate to glue with some waterproof glue the bendable waterproof gasket to the mount.
Also I suggest you cut the pins of the switch, they might be a bit long (or bend them inwards)
