This is the original cover art from Final Fantasy VIII, featuring Squall, Rinoa, and Seifer beneath the looming figure of Edea. The warm reds and golds give it that dreamlike, almost haunting quality that defined the game’s tone—equal parts romantic, mysterious, and surreal.
For a lot of fans, this one was different. It leaned into emotional storytelling, big themes like memory and identity, and had a soundtrack that still holds up today. This artwork brings it all back—the tension between characters, the elegance of Edea, and the feeling of stepping into something deeper than just a fight to save the world.
A perfect piece for anyone who still hears “Eyes On Me” and remembers what this game meant.
