SpinSet: 5 Extruder Indicators for H2D Toolhead
Print Profile(1)

Description
The H2D toolhead doesn’t come with a built-in extruder movement indicator like the A1, so this set of five low-profile spinner designs offers a simple and satisfying way to visualize filament motion while printing.

Boosts are nice if you like my work
Each spinner is designed to fit underneath the stock toolhead cover and still spin freely when mounted properly. They sit flush with no interference, and the different shapes let you choose a look that suits your setup—or print them all and swap as needed.
These were printed in two-tone PETG (white/grey) and a high-contrast neon green PETG to demonstrate visibility through the tinted cover. The neon version in particular offers a vivid visual cue without removing the cover, which I personally prefer to leave on for protection.
For best results, print these in PETG or other heat-resistant materials (ABS, ASA, PC, etc). Avoid PLA—it can deform or soften from ambient heat inside enclosed chambers or near the hotend.
Each fits snugly snaps into place over the shaft and will begin rotating with any extruder motion—making it easier to catch filament runout, jams, or verify movement at a glance.
Important Printing/Fit Note: Since filament shrinkages are different you may need to scale your chosen spinner. I have anticipated this and have included 3 sizes (101%, 100% and 99%) for each spinner here in my 3MF.
Included formats:
- Pre-sliced 3MF files for easy printing
- STEP files for modification or remixing your own version
This is a practical, non-invasive upgrade for H2D users who want a quick visual on toolhead activity without modifying the housing.
