I took heavy inspiration from images of some space shuttle/NASA style switches I found online and added the custom lettering. Also designed a printable toggle switch that snaps into one of two positions and screws into the rear of the main panel using a printable hex nut.

Requires the following hardware for assembly of the face plate onto the main body-

Qty 2: 4x16mm Phillips/hex button head machine screws
Qty 2: 4mm hex nuts

Or you can just glue the front panel on, there are alignment pins/detents on the faceplate to hold it relative to the main body. See attached assembly guide for putting things together if you get stuck!

Got very close to end then failed. The rest is great and still usable. Only the bars failed.

Super cool and fun BUT... Do you have some kind of flush mount adapter or something? Could you make something like it?

I haven’t made anything like that. are you thinking flush mounting into a desk or flat panel?

Into a flat panel or onto a desk is what I was thinking too when I saw this. that, and seeing if it might be easily doable to have a small recessed panel behind the “arm” to install an led for when its switched. Probably not canon’ per se, but another way to show it’s been armed ;) either way - I love it - will make myself one, and maybe, maybe my boss too. * I’m curious now what the Klingon version might look like?
