Description

Do you play 42 (or Texas 42)? (If not, you should. It's excellent.)

Do you have a set of Cardinal Classics dominoes that you use to play? (They're the most common brand from either Amazon or WalMart.)

Is your set double nines because you like to play The Big Game?

…boy howdy, then do I have a model for you!

This holds back the nines so you can dump the box easily without accidentally mixing them in. It also separates the 7s and 8s in case you're playing regular 42 and not just The Big Game. (Hey, we have to teach new players sometimes and no one should have to start in a game with 9 suits plus no trump calls.) The frame will also help keep the dominoes from slipping under the lid so it can close properly. (…mostly. See below.)

Yes, you're going to leave 4 dominoes from the lower set on top. No, this doesn't cause any problems because the lid has tons of space.

The only caveat here is that you'll have a little trouble getting the box to close on the corners with the nines. It's not so much a “bad geometry of the model” as much as it is a “they really should have made the box itself bigger” issue. Rest assured, though, that with some coaxing the box lid will, in fact, close all the way nice and snug.

If you ever actually sell this model (who the hell is your market?) I'd appreciate it (not required) if you told me where and how, but otherwise there's no restrictions on commercial use. I just think you're crazy for trying, anyhow. I mean, you (the crazy person) and me might be the only ones who ever try to print this. I mean, this is a handy print, but it is niche.
