This practical leg cap is designed to protect furniture from ground moisture, making it ideal for outdoor use or humid environments. It can also be used in other ways, such as an end cap or spacer under furniture legs, planters, or equipment.
The model is fully parametric and can be customized to your exact dimensions using compatible slicers (like Bambu Studio) or online tools with parameter input (e.g. MakerWorld Customizer).
Adjustable Parameters:
- Leg Width X – width of the furniture leg
- Leg Depth Y – depth of the leg
- Wall Thickness – thickness of the outer wall
- Side Wall Height – how high the cap goes up the leg
- Bottom Thickness – thickness of the base
- Top Draft Angle – upper taper angle
- Bottom Draft Angle – bottom taper angle
- Leg Width Tolerance X/Y – clearance for leg fitting
Important note about tolerance:
The value entered is per side, meaning a setting of 0.45 mm adds 0.9 mm total clearance in that direction (0.45 mm on both sides).
Recommended value: 0.45 mm per side, depending on your printer’s accuracy.
Material Recommendation:
Print with PETG, ASA, ABS, or any weather-resistant filament for long-term durability.
PLA is not recommended for outdoor use due to moisture and heat sensitivity.
