Aviator wallet coin tray

Tray for the Aviator slide wallet.

I did not want to pay the price for the aluminium double depth tray as the acrylic version is out of stock. So why not create a version that can be customised.

Inside tray depth is 4.3mm with 5.8mm overall thickness. Fusion 360 file included, change the ‘fullheight’ parameter to change thickness/tray depth. The bottom of the tray is 1.5mm thick so add your desired inner tray depth to get your fullheight parameter.

Printing with the bottom of tray on the build plate may require support to print indent for the slide ribbon and may need to be sanded for smoothness to prevent wear on the ribbon. Depending on your printer, filament and bridging setting you may get away with no support. Alternatively print with top to build plate, inside of tray may not be as smooth though.

The inside of the tray can be lined with sticky back velour (or liner of choice), Amazon have some that is 0.5mm thick to add sound dampening.
