Description
The 725 series locomotive (T 444.0 series until 1987) is a power locomotive designed for shunting and lighter line service. Two prototypes marked as T 444.001 and 002 were produced in 1959 by the Prague locomotive company ČKD, they were taken out of service in 1967 and 1968. The other machines (starting with inventory number 003) were then produced between 1962 and 1965 in Slovakia (TS Martin).
