Description

Hello!

A friend of mine asked me if I could repair his fishing box, a PLANO 7271 where all of the front panel locks broke!

I think it's a pretty common issue, as this kind of plastic is very rigid, so I decided to upload my fix.

PETG IS MANDATORY as pla is not flexible and will not spring back in place enough.

I set the layer height at 0,12 mm for good adhesion, but If you wish you can try the standard 0,20 to print it faster.

For the two on the left, you have to cut it straight flush with the panel at around 12,5 mm.

Maybe try to stay above my dimensions a bit and go down little by little.

I used my rotary tool (dremel like), placed both the tool and the panel on a table and put some sheets of paper to shim until I reached my desired height.

The one on the right is different, you have to cut it at around 10,3.

Print the models, try it before gluing them in place and voilà!

I hope it helps someone :)
