Description

Smart fruit picking tool

Description:
I designed this simple but effective model for picking fruits such as figs, apples, plums, etc. The tool allows for safe and precise gripping of fruit in higher places, without damaging the fruit or branches.

🔧 Functionalities:
A recessed groove guides the fruit straight into the center of the gripper.
At the end of the groove there is space for a blade that cuts the stem when pulled upwards.
Mounts on a wooden stick (e.g. broom) with one screw - quick and sturdy.
The tool is lightweight and compact, suitable for garden enthusiasts who want carefree fruit picking without a ladder.

📦 3D printing:
I used PLA, but I recommend using PETG or ASA
Without support if oriented with the opening upwards.
I used a curtain rod 28mm thick.

Simply insert the blade into the slot and slide the second piece along the guide.
I added a small dot at the end to hold it in place. When you set up the second piece, keep it aligned. That's the only way to get it into the guides. I left it longer for better strength.
