Gratitude Box

Hello Makers! I want to share a recent project that filled me with joy: this elegant and functional 3D-printed organizer box, adorned with the word "thank you" in a vibrant red color.

This design arose from a very special request. A client approached me with a lovely idea: she wanted meaningful gifts to express gratitude to her daughters' dedicated teachers. The mission to create something so personal to convey this appreciation seemed wonderful, and embarking on it was an absolute pleasure. Imagining the girls' excitement in giving these tokens, carrying a message of appreciation to their teachers, gave this project extra motivation. Definitely one of those projects that makes you smile while the printer works its magic!

Design Features:

• A Central Message of Gratitude: For me, the most beautiful aspect is how the word "thank you" is ingeniously incorporated into the lid, transforming each box into a tangible symbol of gratitude.
• Modular and Versatile Design: The box consists of a base (which I printed in white in this case) and a lid (in black), offering the flexibility to play with different color combinations according to preference.
• Thoughtful Functionality: I designed it with the organization of small desk items in mind, such as clips or notes, but it could also be a charming detail with a few sweets inside. It's a useful and beautiful gift!
• Clean and Timeless Aesthetics: The simple lines and the color contrast I chose aim to adapt to any space, whether a desk at home or in a classroom.
• My Satisfactory Printing Experience: It was a smooth and relatively simple printing process, ideal for those seeking a design with a strong emotional component like the one this project had.

Technical Details (My Printing Recommendations for You):

• Material: I opted for PLA (I recommend it for its ease of use and the wide range of available colors).
• Layer Height: I used 0.2mm to achieve a good level of detail without excessively extending the printing time.
• Infill: 15-20% was enough to give solidity to the piece without making it heavy.
• Supports: In this design, supports were not necessary for the box. For the word "thank you", I printed it separately and then adhered it to the lid to ensure a clean finish and a differentiated color.
• Colors: For these boxes, I combined white for the base and black for the lid, highlighting the "thank you" in a vibrant red. The contrast was very striking!
