Description

I was looking for some holders for memory sticks I had lying around and printed out some early ones when I first started printing.   They worked but they didn't stack.   I needed the ability to stack trays, for all kinds of memory.

I had already built a bunch of Gridfinity bases and bins (Zack Freeman), but wanted something that would keep the memory upright.

I ran across this design by Dr. Chaos,  https://makerworld.com/en/models/1034463-gridfinity-2x3-sodimm-ram-tray?from=search#profileId-1022172, and thought that I could expand on it.

So I created a OpenSCAD file to let met generate different configurations.  And I printed most out, and decided to share them.

I have included several 2x1 and 2x2 for SODIMMs with and without lips, and a 2x1x5U for M2 sticks, I didn't add the lip, for these as the memory won't fit.   There are a couple of different versions for DIMMs, including a 7U with a lip to hold memory with heat sinks.

The reason for with and without lips, is that they can also be used in parts bins or drawers that are usually 6U.

I am working on a 4 x 2 x 6U that can hold SODIMM in two rows, so that I can stack on the other 4 x 2.

If you can use any other configurations, reach out and I can generate something else.

I user requested some 4x1 configurations, so I have added 3.  Check the STL files.
