🧠 Behind the Design (For Makers & Moderators)

This tool goes far beyond extruding basic art fonts, which is why it qualifies as a structurally sophisticated generator. The underlying OpenSCAD algorithm features a complex difference() logic to generate functional hollow stencils with precisely calculated wall thicknesses. Furthermore, it utilizes bbox_size mathematics to dynamically calculate and generate perfectly balanced, parametric baseplates with custom padding, ensuring complex multi-word signs are structurally sound and freestanding without manual CAD intervention.

🛠️ What can you customize?

This model is packed with features to help you create the perfect 3D text using the MakerWorld customizer.

• Your Text: Simply type any text you want to create.
• Font & Style: Choose your Font_Name from a list of great-looking, print-friendly fonts and select a Font_Style like Regular, Bold, or Italic.
• Size & Thickness: Control the overall Font_Size and the 3D Letter_Height (thickness) to make your text as big or small as you need.
• Fine-Tune Boldness: Use the Font_Thickness_Adjust slider to make your font subtly thicker or thinner for the perfect look.
• Hollow Stencil Mode: Enable Create_Stencil to generate cool, hollowed-out letters, perfect for a different aesthetic or for use as stencils. You can even control the Stencil_Wall_Thickness.
• Add a Base: Toggle Add_Base to attach your letters to a solid baseplate, making them stand up easily. You can customize the Base_Thickness, Base_Padding, and even the Base_Shape (rectangle or circle).

🖨️ Print Settings

This is a very straightforward model to print. For decorative pieces, PLA is a fantastic choice. Use at least a 5% infill to keep it light but strong. For most text, you won't need any supports. Just place it flat on the build plate and watch your creation come to life!

💡 Why did I make this model?

It all started for fun! I wanted to print my name "Tibo" as a cool little decoration. I wanted it to be custemizble with a lot of opties so everyone could use it in what style they want. Combining diffrent styles also gives a nice effect.
