Description

Summary

This insert solves two problems: 1) token storage, 2) lid lift with the dual-layered playerboards.

Without this insert, there is 12mm of lid lift with the dual-layered player mats; with this insert there is 0mm.

Fits both standard cardboard tokens and the deluxe metal/wooden tokens.

Features

  • 3 token trays to organize and display all tokens on the table.
  • All 6 player pieces are in their own bins.
  • All card trays are removable, in case that suits your play style better than keeping them in the box. (otherwise they can stay in the box in the same way the original insert works)

Compatibility

➖ Expansions

There are no expansions or planned expansions for Vantage.

❌ Sleeved Cards

Player Boards

If you don't have the official Dual-Layered Player Boards, you can print some out. You will need 6 to match the height of the 6 cardboard ones this insert was designed for.

Special Notes

  • If you do not have the dual-layered player boards, the game will not be able to be stored vertically without some issues with the tokens falling out of the trays.
  • If you prefer to have 2 sets of token trays rather than 1, alternate STL files are available. (issues have been noted with fit of cardboard money)
  • To more easily remove the books and player boards, I recommend first removing the card stand tray from the upper left corner, this will create enough room to lift out the boards.
  • I suggest alternating the orientation of the book spines to minimize their stack height.
  • The character cards can be stored anywhere, including in the standard card trays.
  • I printed the player bins with several different colors and noticed that depending on the filament, the lids fit nice or are too tight. If they are too tight for you, I suggest slotting them in so the little nub is facing up.
  • The spoiler cards can be placed in the stand tray once you open them. Otherwise, they fit fine in the packaging on top of the standard cards as pictured.

I'm still awaiting my game (ETA: four days from now!), but I printed the full insert just to have it ready. I've included a photo of all the components included in this model, and another photo with the player boards also by the same creator and linked above. [Edited to add: Got my game! It comes with a thoughtful cardboard organizer that probably works for most players, but you can't remove that from the box so I'm glad I had this model insert ready to go! These trays can be set up on the table, and you don't have to hand around the heavy box. Because I bought the wooden tokens and metal coins—there were no good 3d models for those yet—I left the punchboard components intact and stored it at the bottom of the box. Right now there's a tiny bit of lift, but once I organize the booklets as directed by BoardGameMeta above, I think that will go away. Overall, great model and I'm very happy! Thank you.]

Hey this is an excellent design! I printed it and it works very well. I think i have less than 1mm of lid lift now! i have a suggestion. The only thing that I don't like that much is storing the card stands and the spoiler cards. Would it be possible to make that side piece accommodate the spoiler cards and the card stands in a nice way?

This is by far the best insert I have seen out there. The only modification I made was to split the skill token and coin/boost trays to be able to have one of each on opposite sides of the table. I was gonna post this as a suggestion, but you beat me to it! LOL. I will have to print your version of the split boost/coin trays to see which I like better, but again - AMAZING job on all this. Sending a boost your way now. Thanks again!

@DigHarmony Could you share the split coin tray STL that you designed? It looks great and seems to address the usability at the table issues of the original spilt trays. Thank you in advance for your consideration of this request.

I'm not sure what I've done wrong but the large card holders are too short for the number of cards in the stack. I am using an A1 with overture pla. I printed these with Handy and I selected the overture pla when I loaded the filament. the printed inside height is 52.69 mm and the outside is 54 mm high. I am able to open this in studio and increase the height. but I thought there might be a solution that helps others.

All you have to do is distribute the cards evenly between the 3 trays.

haha. thanks. I hadn't noticed that the first card in the stack doesn't have the card range on it, the way it did for the little cards. now I understand the comment requesting the topmost cards. you might want to add this to the notes section. thank you for your hard work. I'll add a boost as soon as I get another one.

Works so well! Need to remember the book trick to prevent lift lid but I had some fun adding colours to the player mats and decals to the spoiler card box! Thanks for the design!

Great work on this organizer! Although I would love to have more space for additional boost cubes and perhaps a specialised dice tower. I feel like having seperate boxes for character stat markers is unnessesary. Thanks for designing this!

Since this insert is designed to fit all 6 duel-layered player mats, there isn't much room left for anything like a dice tower. Maybe with no player mats more things could fit!

Print came out dented/deformed. something like this never happened to me before. Am still troubleshooting.
