Description

I created this mount because I’m heading to a festival and wanted to bring some music along for the ride — literally!
I recently got myself a folding bike and thought it’d be fun to mount my JBL Charge 5 speaker right on the handlebars.

This custom holder is designed for:

  • 📏 22 mm handlebars (standard on many folding bikes)
  • 🔉 JBL Charge 5 speaker (may fit similar JBL models, but not guaranteed)

 

🧱 Print Settings & Material Recommendations

  • Material: PLA (tested), but PETG is highly recommended
    → Better UV resistance and mechanical strength for outdoor use
  • Print Quantity: 2 identical parts required
  • Supports: Yes (recommended)
  • Layer Height: 0.2 mm
  • Infill: 20–40% (depending on strength needs)

 

🔩 Assembly Instructions

You’ll need some basic hardware to assemble the two parts and attach them to your handlebars:

Required:

  • 6 × M6 x 40 mm bolts
  • 6 × M6 washers
  • 6 × M6 (nylock) nuts

Align the two printed parts around your handlebar and speaker, then secure them with the bolts, washers, and nuts. That’s it — your mobile sound system is ready to roll!

 

 

🎉 Notes

  • Designed specifically for the JBL Charge 5, but might fit other speakers of similar size.
  • Intended for casual biking, not for off-road or high-vibration environments.
  • Feel free to remix or adapt the design for other handlebar sizes or speaker models.
