Description

A frame for canvas paintings

This is parametric model for a canvas painting frame.

By using the Customise option, you will be directed to the MakerWorld Parametric Model Maker where you can set up the frame dimensions to make this your own.

Define the dimensions you need, generate the model and then download it to be printed on your BambuLab 3d Printer.

For frames below 180mm / 180mm this will fit on A1 mini.

Please, check the canvas frame squareness - when we printed this first time for prototyping we found out that most of the canvas frames we have are slightly out of square and some generous tolerance is sometimes needed.

The figures below are indicative (a 1mm lateral tolerance is most of the time sufficient, but I had to print a frame with 3mm lateral tolerance. If you find yourself in this case, you will need to add some lateral propping to keep the frame onto the painting.

For the dimensions below I do not recommend attaching a hanger directly to the 3dprinted frame but to the painting, using screws.

The dimensions are defined as below:

This is a guidance assuming a practically square canvas frame.
