awesome I do have some questions hope you don't mind KM4gWB josh how do you connect the nextion to the hat since the hat is using already oled screen do you have an image of the board as to where it should connect? and the last Q is for the screen where should I look to make it look like yours. sorry newbie to all this

you will solder the wires that are included with the display to the board, you will need to cut off the end of the wire as shown, strip a small amount of the insulation from the end and solder to the MMDVM board. on the Nextion Display, I connected a cable that has the corresponding mating end to the wires you soldered to the MMDVM board. you will need to swap the RX and TX wires on the display so that they will communicate.

would be perfect if you have a base for RPI3 (not 4) as well... RPI3 has more then enough power for a DMR hotspot and I have plenty here :) Hopefully you are willing to make a RPI3 variant or at least share the Fuision CAD file. 73
