Storage Box Gridfinity

Many people have been asking me for different size boxes and as much I would like to help everyone, it is not possible for me to design box for everyone without a help from you. I decided to make a Crowdfunding project to ask for help from you awesome people to help me with costs (time, filament, etc.) For last month and a half I have been busy designing, printing and testing this project. Gridfinity-Compatible Stackable Storage Box with Locking Lid & Custom Label Slot

Organise smarter with this 3D-printable storage box, designed for maximum modularity and practicality. Fully Gridfinity-compatible, this container features a secure locking lid, stackable design, and a customizable label slot and labels—making it the perfect upgrade to your workshop, maker bench, or hobby station.

Features:

🔲 Gridfinity Base Integration

Internal base uses the standard Gridfinity grid 42mm × 42mm, for seamless compatibility with bins, dividers, and modules. Bin height is 3U (24.8mm bins used in this box)

🧱 Stackable Design

Top and bottom profiles interlock cleanly for stable vertical stacking—no slipping or shifting during use or transport.

🔐 Locking Lid Mechanism

Snap-fit locks keeps the lid closed and contents secure, even when on the move. Designed to stay closed without additional hardware.

🏷️ Custom Label Slot

Built-in recessed area allows you to insert custom labels—print your own, slide in a card, or engrave.

No supports needed. Optimized for strength, reliability, and clean print quality on FDM printers.

Whether you’re sorting electronics, storing hobby tools, or building out your Gridfinity ecosystem, this box is a rugged, modular, and elegant addition to any organized space.

Assembly:

You will need three M3x25mm bolts and nuts for hinges.

Lid locks snaps in place, no extra hardware needed.

Feet needs to be glued to box.

Printing:

I added few print profiles

• box
• bins with labels, without labels and also some random size bins, but you can print whatever bin you want, there are plenty options, bin size is limited at height 3u or 25mm in this box

• customisable label, make your own, press customize button and make your own label, there are 3 types of screws included at the moment, button head, socket head and flat, leave one you need and delete rest of them from label. Best quality would be if you use 0.2mm nozzle.

  

Bambu Lab PETG and Bambu Lab PLA used to print model in pictures. 

Lid, locks and feet printed from PETG rest of the box and bins printed in PLA.

I also use DYMO Omega to create labels for bins.
