Description

Parametric model for an oil drain sleeve.

I made this to change the oil on my 17.5hp Briggs and Stratton powered lawn tractor. Some of my family saw it and wanted one of their own but had different engine configurations so I made a parametric model.

This sleeve/funnel isn't perfect but it'll keep you from dumping a crankcase of oil on your mower and driveway. Have a paper towel ready. I've heard this part comes with new mowers, I've never owned a new mower so I wouldn't know.

Modifiable dimensions:

  • Inside Diameter
    • shown as radius, so just divide your desired diameter by 2 for the model tool
    • The diameter of the spout is ½ of the main body diameter
  • Wall Thickness of the part
    • I made mine thick enough to wedge under the drain port and frame of the mower
  • Length of the part
    • straight part until the bend, the bend length is ¼ the length of the straight part
