HO/OO Back to Back Gauge (14.5mm)

This model has been designed to allow the user to check the wheel spacing (gauge) of model train locomotives, carriages and wagons. Model train derailments are often caused by wheels being out of gauge. You can adjust the spacing by spreading or squeezing the wheels on their axle. 

The gauge prints accurately at 14.5mm with Bambu Basic PLA on my A1. Other types and brands of filament may vary slightly in accuracy. The model can easily be adjusted by sanding to the correct width. My choice of 14.5mm is based on the following back to back definition - "The wheel-set back-to-back dimension for HO scale is 14.55mm. This should be the same for OO gauge, if we are using "NMRA Code 110" (2.8mm thick) wheel-sets." Some hobbyists accept a range of 14.3 - 14.5mm for HO/OO wheels so you can reduce the width even further if you wish.
