🔌 Universal Cable Cap Generator – Keep Your Ports Clean

This customizable OpenSCAD generator lets you create protective caps for a wide variety of cable connectors – perfect for keeping out dust, dirt, and debris when your cables are not in use.

✅ Supported Connector Types:

• USB-C, USB-A, USB-B, Micro-USB, Mini-USB, Lightning
• HDMI, DisplayPort
• Ethernet (RJ45)
• DC Barrel Jacks: 3.5 mm, 4.0 mm, 4.8 mm, 5.5 mm, 6.3 mm, 6.4 mm
• 3.5mm & 6.35mm AUX Jack

⚙️ Features:

• Cap or Tethered Option: Choose a standalone dust cap or a version with a tether that stays attached to the cable.
• Adjustable Tether Length: Define the perfect tether length to suit your setup.
• Custom Cable Ring: The cable-holding ring snaps around the cable to prevent losing the cap — and you can freely adjust its inner diameter for a snug fit.
• Text on Tab: Optionally add custom text to the tether tab, either extruded or cut out.
  Note: For good legibility and printability, the tab should be at least 6 mm wide — small text or narrow tabs may not print well with a standard 0.4 mm nozzle.
• Prebuilt Models Included: The download includes a ready-to-print profile with pre-configured caps for all supported connector types — designed to fit standard cables without extra adjustments.

🧵 Printing Recommendation:
For best results and flexibility, print the caps using TPU filament.
This ensures they bend easily and fit snugly onto connectors without damaging them.
All caps were tested using Bambu Lab TPU (AMS compatible).
