Modern Shelf Bracket
Print this super strong and sturdy shelf bracket to hold up your board to the wall. With a super modern and CNC style design, this shelf bracket not only works functionally but also looks appealing.
To increase the strength, the bracket prints with 4 walls and 20% infill. I have designed the bracket with triangular supports to help with rigidity and prevent flex. The bracket is 20mm wide and 8mm thick for added strength and rigidity. Furthermore, the bracket prints on its side so the layer lines are in the best orientation for extra stiffness and the decrease the risk of snapping. My shelf is as solid as a rock now.
Mounting
The bracket is screwed to the wall using 2x M4 screws and the shelf is held by 2x M4 screws. I have offset the upper holes to allow for easy access with a drill or screwdriver.
The holes are also chamfered to allow for the screw head to sit flush with the 3d print.
Materials
- I have used PLA Basic (Black), but PETG is also a great option for extra strength.
