Hello Makers:

Orbital Chandelier - Orbital Chandelier

I present my chandelier with a spatial and elegant design, conceived to enhance your interiors

Inspired by orbital trajectories and celestial forms, the Orbital Chandelier is a decorative chandelier designed for 3D printing. Its suspended rings create an impression of movement and lightness, ideal for a living room, bedroom, or modern space. This model blends geometric simplicity with a futuristic aesthetic

About this model:

  • Original design inspired by astronomy and orbital motion
  • Easy two part assembly without complex tools
  • Lightweight structure compatible with different types of LED or lighting systems
  • Suitable for standard ceiling lights
  • The model has been resized (from 100% to 94.81%) to respect the printing limits of Bambu Lab P1S, X1, A1 printers. If you have a printer with a larger printing surface, such as the H2D, you can print the model at its original size by enlarging it to 100% (instead of 94.81%). It is also possible to simply modify its width from 256 mm to 270 mm (10.629 in) on the X-axis

Print made with:

  • Material: PLA HS - JAYO
  • Layer height: 0.2 mm
  • Infill: 15%
  • Supports: Yes and only on the build plate
  • E3D Obxidian HF nozzle: 0.4 mm
  • Temperature: 220/230°C (depending on filament)

I haven't tested other materials, but I'd be interested to see the results :)

Dimensions:

  • Total height: 202.34 mm / 7.952 in
  • Width: 256 mm / 10.078 in
  • Ring around the socket (bulb holder): 30.34 mm / 1.181 in

See provided technical drawing for more details

Assembly:

The 2 parts fit together easily with slight pressure (0.05mm tolerance), be careful as the upper part is thin, too much force may break it

Included:

  • STL files: All in one, Lower part, Upper part
  • Profiles (.Gcode) for a 0.4mm P1S/X1/A1 nozzle:
    • For a layer height of 0.2mm (All in one, Upper part, Lower part)
    • For a layer height of 0.16mm (All in one, Upper part, Lower part)
  • .3mf file

Tips

  • This model is decorative: do not use with bulbs that produce a lot of heat (heat resistance depends on the type of filament used)
  • Use low-power LEDs for lighting
  • The chandelier hangs easily by placing it directly on the light bulb socket, gravity takes care of holding it
