Description
Axle seal driver for a 2012 Subaru Forester. 4EAT Automatic transmission. Not sure if it would work on Manual but I assume due to the diff location. May also be compatible with the outback or other foresters (not 100% sure, check your seal dimensions when you buy them). It must be 34mm inner diameter, and 50-51mm outer diameter.
Usage
NOTE: The driver side seal is DIFFERENT from the passenger side seal. You can see a photo of me using the tool. Press it in slightly with your hand so it seats a little, then start tapping on it with a long extension. I used my jack handle to tap the seal in with a rubber mallet. Worked perfectly! You can't get that view without removing the axle from the car and 2hrs of work!
Rest assured - You can tap the tool in all the way and the and lip of the driver will catch the housing (not driving the seal any further!). Orient the seal SPRING SIDE IN!
This design is similar to Mountain Bike (MTB) fork seal drivers. Both seal types are rubber with hard metal seal bodies on the outer edges of the seal. Requiring a special driver to do the job right.

Added Orca Slicer file for A1 Mini - 5 walls, 25% infill, Fiberon PET-CF17 filament. PLA+ or Plus would probably be ok too. I was only planning on making this once, and making it right…
