3D Printing RERF Resin Exposure Calibration Test
Print Profile(0)
Description
Okay, confession time: I've spent way too many hours of my life hunched over tiny resin test prints with a magnifying glass, muttering things like "Was that the 3.2 second one or the 3.0?" while my eyes slowly crossed. And don't even get me started on trying to remember which unmarked rectangle corresponded to which exposure time after I've washed and cured everything. If this sounds painfully familiar, welcome to the club!
I got so fed up with this guessing game that I decided to build something better. This calibration test throws all that squinting nonsense out the window and gives you actual, measurable features that don't leave you wondering if your settings are perfect.
Instead of trying to decipher whether some tiny detail "looks right," you just print it, clean it up, and grab your trusty calipers. When your 2.0mm feature measures exactly 2.0mm and your 10mm feature hits exactly 10.0mm, boom – you've nailed your exposure settings. No more second-guessing, no more "I think this one looks slightly better maybe?"
The best part? Each of the 8 STL files has its number baked right into the print. No more frantically scribbling notes or trying to remember which spot on your build plate was supposed to be the 3.8-second test. Just arrange them numbered 1 through however many you want to run, and you'll actually know what you're looking at when you're done.
It covers everything from tiny 0.15mm details up to chunky 10mm features, both horizontal and vertical, because let's be honest – resin doesn't always behave the same way in every direction.
Trust me, once you try measuring your way to perfect prints instead of playing the "does this look right?" game, you'll wonder why anyone still does calibration tests any other way.
