Samsung Galaxy Active Tab Motorcycle Mount
Print Profile(2)

Description
** I've fixed the hinge issue, it should work as is should right now. If you have any issues or suggestions, please let me know**
This is a mount for mounting a Samsung Active Tab to the navigation bar of a 2022 Yamaha Ténéré 700.
I couldn't find one I liked or one that I wanted to buy, as they can be really expensive.
I have an Active Tab 5 but I have also tested it with a Tab 2 and that also fits fine. That makes me believe the other versions will also fit. Must be used with the original case that came with the tablet.
I have printed this in PETG and have taken it on a trip through the Italian alps and it has held up perfectly.
If you are going to use this on a Yamaha T7 I highly recommend getting a support bracket for the navigation bar as the tablet and mount put quite some stress on the cockpit and there is quite a bit of flex there without support.

BIll of materials:
4 M6x55 countersunk bolts for mounting the bracket to the motorcycle
1 M4x20 Allen bolt for the hinge
I printed Elothan's M5 knurled print and used a M5x30 bolt and nut to lock the hinge to the body.

For charging I recommend the waterproof USB-C cable from QuadLock. Don't forget to use a 12V to 5V converter. Otherwise you will destroy your tablet.
Assembly:
You will need a machine Tap M4 and M5. If you don't plan on using heated inserts you will also need an M6 tap.
Take the M4 tap and tap through the bottom part of the hinge of the main body.
Use the M5 tap to tap through the bottom part of the top part of the hinge.
If you don't use heated inserts, use the M6 tap to partially tap through the AMPS bottom bracket.
There are 2 versions of the bottom bracket, for use with or without inserts. Pick the one you want to use.
Use the M4x20 to act as a hinge on the bottom and use the knurled bolt to secure the tablet in place.
For the T7 you want to remove the windshield to get better access. Put the bottom bracket behind the 11mm bar, the spacer in between and the mount on top. Use the M6x55 bolts to sandwich everything together. I recommend using threadlocker.
If you have any questions of suggestions, please let me know.
